About Orange Pride
Who are we?
In May of 2005 a group of enthusiastic women
met to explore the idea of starting a Gay
Community Group here in Orange County.
Realizing that there was a serious void of visible,
positive gay life in our communities, this small but
determined group of individuals held a meeting to
determine what they could do to fill this void.
Ideas were expressed and plans made to initiate
a few summer activities that would hopefully
create an interest in others. With the hope of
developing activities, communicating other events
and programs of interest in our region and
creating a resource for support and
encouragement, Orange Pride took its first
steps. Where we go from here depends on you.
